Hyoi of the Hross

This past week, I was inspired by C. S. Lewis’ book, “Out of the Silent Planet,” to sketch out one of the characters.
Since reading (OOTSP) for the first time in college, I’ve been fascinated with the species known as the Hross. They are an otter-like species who stand taller than an average man. Civilized creatures, they have their own language, and write poetry and stories about anything and everything.
This character is Hyoi. He is a hunter/ gatherer among the Hross, and the first intelligent Malacandrian resident that Dr. Elwin Ransom meets in his unwilling journey.
